Growing up in a single-parent household shaped by the impact of justice involvement in the household, Vanesia witnessed firsthand the cycles of poverty, instability, and limited opportunity. Amid the chaos, she discovered a powerful outlet—braiding hair. What began as a creative escape became a way to contribute to her family, earn income for school clothes, and develop a sense of purpose and independence. Braiding became her outlet, her income, and ultimately, her breakthrough.

While navigating her education, Vanesia used her gift with her hands to support her siblings and build confidence in herself. Over time, that passion became a profession—and eventually, a thriving seven-figure beauty brand.

But Vanesia never forgot where she came from or the young girls who, like her, just need someone to see their potential and provide a pathway. That heart for empowerment led her to create Elevation Outreach, an organization dedicated to equipping at-risk youth, single mothers, and vulnerable communities with hands-on skills, mentorship, and workforce training.

Today, Vanesia is not just a successful entrepreneur—she’s a mentor, a role model, and an advocate for practical, purpose-driven education. Her mission is clear: to help others rise by creating opportunity where it once seemed impossible.
